What is the biggest challenge for any heavy lift company before it can start working; mobilization of it's equipment to the project.
Team Heavy Lift was contracted in 2019 to install 30 wind turbines in Santa Cruz de la Sierra in Bolivia. After our 6 cranes arrived by ship in Iquique and Arica, Chile we had to drive them over the public road for roughly 1,200 km to Santa Cruz. The conditions were far from ideal as you can see in the photo's. Once we arrived late 2019 we were facing a civil war in Bolivia (ex president Evo Morales was being ousted) and soon after in March 2020 Covid19 which resulted in Bolivia being under full lockdown. In the meantime project is in the final stage of completion.
